EMBRACE LIFE’S WONDER

Life is filled with wonders and miracles that are sometimes thought of as magical. And they truly are magical, but not the kind of magic you see on stage. For example, there is no trick about the wonders of nature. Just as with magic, however, you do not understand the world around you, but when you hear the sounds of nature, they bring joy to you. You see the world by the magic it performs, just as you love by the way that love is returned to you, and you live by the hope that is held in your heart, just as you die by the fear you create within yourself. All of this is magical. You cannot explain it, but nevertheless it is real.

GuidesThe mystery of life is sometimes silenced by the past, but it is not as important that you look at the past as it is that you look at the miracle of the present. Then as you look at the world around you, you are encouraged about your future. You may draw conclusions about life, but simply seeing the miracle of life is magical. For instance, each one of you is different from the other. No two people are exactly the same. You have your own destiny, your own truth, and you have a purpose moment by moment that you create for yourself. That does not mean, however, that you even understand the things around you, such as your environment. They are like magic, but magic comes from believing, and magic brings with it hope and desire.

Anticipate your future

As you anticipate your future, you plan for it by creating a secure Mary Jo McCabefoundation. In doing so, your thoughts return to the magic of your environment, not to the past. Take the time to see the wonders of life around you, the joys of the miracles of truth, and the understanding of what is within you. That creates your foundation for the future and brings the wonders of life to you.

As you look around you to find the miracles in your life, if something goes unnoticed, you lose the desire for its taste. If your eyes are always closed, you don’t have the desire to open them again. If you sit cross-legged for a long time, unless you try to get up, you will have sat in one spot so long, it has automatically crippled you. Some of you live like that. You just endure life. You sit in positions long enough that you cannot stand up again, so you become comfortable as you are. Then it is not until your bones begin to tremble and your muscles start aching that you realize your cramped position. Only when the pain becomes severe do you notice that you have not moved the joints within you. But life is not meant to be like that. It is meant to be lived in the magic of the moment, with spontaneity and spark.

Life Is Miraculous

Life is more miraculous than physical form or even the environment. Even though you see the stars at night or hear the wind that blows or feel the sunshine upon your face, you may not understand the mystery and wonder of it. But you must trust that it is as important as the air you breathe, for everything in your world has a purpose. When you begin to understand that truth, you begin to know the value of the treasures around you that support you.

Many times, however, you find it impossible to communicate freely. You try to understand everything without questioning yourself. You believe your journey on earth must be planned for you, just as you believe your retirement years will be given to you. But there are many disruptions in your world, many uncertainties, you can do little about. It is important, then, that you look at yourself introspectively and consider these questions:

What is it like in your world when, because of the circumstances, you go unnoticed and unheard? What is it like in your world when you feel small and unimportant? What is it like in your world when you are tired and have no time to rest? What is it like in your world when you are fearful and have no support? What is it like in your world when you are in pain and cannot embrace the hurt? What is it like in your life when you are hungry and there is nothing to feed you? What is it like in your world when you are sad and no one cares? What is it like in your world when you need warmth and nothing is offered? What is it like when you have so much to give and no one is interested? These questions cause you to reflect on life, so take a good look at yourself and discover how you truly feel deep inside.

Look at the Miracle of Yourself

As individuals, you must look at the miracle of yourself, not at the past  but at what impresses you about yourself now, for that is the wonder of you, the miracle of you. You are made aware of the many blessings in life as well as many gifts and many wonders that sharpen your truth. But there is no good in the lesson if you do not have joy in the learning. There is no good in the meaning if you cannot hear the word and no good in the song if there is no hymn to be sung. There is no good in the rhythm when the melody has no place to flow. But there is a purpose for each of you. You must trust that knowledge.

There is a Manual to be Taught and One to be Heard

There is a manual to be taught and one to be heard, and even though you wonder about yourself, you have yet to discover the wisdom of how you can become a better person. The way to begin, however, is to learn how to laugh, to see the miracle of laughter. Learn how to recognize the gospel of your own Godliness. Learn how to understand and accept the embarrassment you feel at times and to look at yourself with pleasure instead of criticism. Be content with yourself but not so content that you become complacent in your world. Keep yourself mindful of what truth is while opening your ears to hear the loud sound of falseness.

Your questions: How do you know when someone you know rubs you wrong? Or how do you know when someone isn't there even though there is a loud banging on the door? You know by the sounds of your own rhythms and by your emotions and the desires you have that haven’t been fulfilled. It is as if you feel a hunger but when the food is served, you have no one to hold on to. You think you are unheard in your world when there is sadness in your truth. You are pulled in new directions when you have something exciting to share. But you find when you grieve others don’t grieve with you because they do not wish to be in the presence of pain. It brings them to their knees. They want desperately to believe that in January comes a new year, but by December, they live in a fog that has created confusion for them.

You see, when you are unhappy and you cannot share your burdens, you will never find the treasures of miracles that are abundant. You need to have a handle or someone to hold on to who will hold you up and give you approval. Then you will find the miracles you seek. At the same time, you search for that part of you that is wise, and yet you are shown that part of you that is unwise. You hit a blank wall. What is really happening is that you want to find your place and instead you find grace.

Discover the Wonders of You

You can discover the wonders of you by observing a few precepts.

  • Keep yourself modified in a world where others seem wise.
  • Don’t study yourself hard, for it will only put you down to size in a place where you don’t belong, in a room where you are not heard, and in a voice that is louder than anyone can hear.
  • Be present in the moment, for that is the song to sing. It is the treasure of your years even though you may not recognize the age of your spirit.
  • Keep yourself mindful of where you always belong. Then you will see the wonder of who you are.
  • Take time out.
  • Believe in your worth. Nothing will come to you until you do.
  • Think it through. Don’t be afraid of confronting you.
  • Listen to the hearts of others, for there you will find you.
  • Don’t be afraid of honesty, or you will live in a world that is false
  • Be gentle with your praise, and you will always make friends.
  • Be open to new ideas, and others will hear your truth.
  • Be open to life, and life will never crowd you.
  • Be open to space without having to fill it up.
  • Be aware of the presence of life even when you stand in the aisle of darkness.
  • Be willing to change though you are afraid to learn.
  • Be willing to stop long enough to know which way to turn.
  • And, if you hear the cables of life pulling you forward, be willing to shift gears even when you already feel as though you are in low gear.
  • Be willing to offer advice as your counsel. Listen hard to the words given, for they belong to you.
  • Keep yourself motivated, for unless you do, you will experience solemnest, and that is no place to be.
  • Stay in the court of your own agenda, and you will keep your journal light.

Lastly, recognize that as you live a long fulfilled life, you will not be missed by the joys you have experienced. You will only be amazed at life’s wonders of it all. God speaks in many tongues. God hears many sounds, but none are greater than the one that is best for you, for you are born as a unique being. So embrace the wonders of life and in doing so, you will discover the magic of you.
