Teachings
Your Black Plastic Bag
Visualize putting everything that is bothering you, scaring you, upsetting you, and burdening you right now in a big, black plastic trash bag. Tie a tight knot around the top of that bag. Put it to the side. Now, walk away from it toward these teachings.
You have just given yourself the gift of a clear mind to truly concentrate on what will be said here.
It’s time to shift from fear to knowing the promise and the path ahead of you. You can do that by hoping. Through hope, you begin to know what you need and open your heart to live a gentler life.
Use hope to search--not to know yourself, but to find your own path. You have missed opportunities in your life, but you can have more, if you determine your own path to follow. Nothing is ever going to fall out of the heavens for you, but with hope, you will have what you need and want in this life.
You hope for those you love and for those who love you. That brings you into a place of grace, but chances are, you hardly treasure that part of you. Give yourself a break. Value the hope you feel for others, and translate that into hope for your life today.
Learn what the power of hope can do for you in making your own choices of where you want to go and what you want to be. Set your feet, then take your first hopeful step forward.
These teachings are filled with observations, discussions, tips and tools to overcome life’s obstacles and keep your feet forward on your own life path. From time to time, you’ll be able to look back at your plastic bag, open it up, and eliminate much of what’s rummaging inside.
