Exercise--The Bow You Choose

There are three different color bows made of beautiful ribbon. Each is large and perfect in appearance.  One is a hot pink satin bow. Another is a royal blue bow. The third is an emerald green.  Which do you like best?

This is the role that you’re asked to play at this time in your life. Use this exercise before going into a meeting, for example.

 

Pink—You’re asked to take the lead. You are in charge.

 

Blue—You are the one who sits on the fence. You have to see both sides. You have to hear all comments and stay neutral.

 

Green—You’re just there to support. Keep your eyes open and your opinions to yourself.
